Jeffrey Bell + Company are architects and designers with over 40 years’ experience with an impressive and diverse portfolio of award-winning projects.

We have developed a reputation for delivering inventive, contextual and elegant design. Working from first principles, our approach is collaborative, rational and open.

We provide design and consultancy services which involve listening, researching, learning, understanding, questioning, discussing, writing, designing, drawing, managing and implementing.

We decipher complicated projects; buildings, spaces and schemes that need to be interpreted or remodelled. We apply intelligence and sensitivity to create enduring designs that respond to their unique context and surroundings. Our work is layered and maintains an inherent level of quality in every detail.

We believe in simplicity; coherent buildings, informed by an integrated approach to sustainability and longevity, are more likely to stand the test of time. Our interest in craft and in quality underpins the technical rigour of our approach, from the macro through to the micro scales.

We think in space and light, but we talk in values, appraisals and measurable outcomes.

We have designed small and large projects for a range of clients, both private and public, often based on innovative solutions, continuing a concern about and an enthusiasm for sustainable design which began over 30 years ago. We operate in a wide range of sectors; we are extremely flexible and able to masterplan an urban quarter, design an ingenious paragraph 80 house, create an award-winning city centre apartment building from a group of dilapidated properties, create a net zero carbon office building from a former textile warehouse or an urban skyscraper building.
